About Goldie's Place
- Support center for homeless individuals located at 5705 N Lincoln Ave, Chicago
- Assists adults who are homeless to become self-sufficient by providing life skills, education, and support
- Provides services such as career counseling, resume building, job search techniques, transportation to interviews, interview preparation, GED assistance, job training, a clothes closet, and a dental clinic
- Overall goal of Goldie's Place is to build confidence and self-esteem, in order to help its participants return to the workforce

About UIC-Goldie's Place Student Run Dental Clinic
- Nation's first completely student run dental clinic
- Students from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry volunteer every other Saturday and Sunday mornings and provide free dental care to the homeless
- Students, 1st to 4th years, provide all aspects of dental care, including front desk and office manager, sterilization, radiology, lab tech, assistant, and provider
- 4 operatories and a lab are set up to provide all phases of dental care, including OHI, prohpy, SRP, direct restorations, extractions, root canal therapy, flippers, partial dentures, and full dentures
- As of October 2010, students have provided over $75,000 worth of service
- Articles written about student's work in the ADA News (front page), ADA News, CDS Review (page 24), UIC News, ADA New Dentist News, and Word of Mouth
